This page explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on Gioyel.com, why they are used, and how you can control them. Gioyel.com is operated by SHOPNOVA SRLS, VAT IT02118490768, SP 93 n. 22, 85021 Avigliano (PZ), Italy, which is the data controller.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. It allows the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as your language, your country or the contents of your basket) over a period of time. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, work in the same way and are covered by this policy.
2. Your consent
Strictly necessary cookies are used without your consent, because the site cannot work without them. All other cookies – analytics and marketing – are only set after you give consent through the banner shown on your first visit.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by reopening the cookie preferences from the banner link. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
3. Categories of cookies used on this site
Strictly necessary. Required to browse the site and complete a purchase: keeping your basket, remembering your selected country and currency (cart_currency, localization), maintaining your session and securing the checkout. Set by Shopify, our e-commerce platform. These cannot be switched off.
Analytics. Used to understand how the site is used, in aggregate form, so that we can improve it. Set by Shopify Analytics (cookies whose names begin with _shopify_).
Functional, third parties. Judge.me, the service that manages product reviews, and the Google Merchant customer review widget may set cookies when their content is displayed.
Marketing. Where advertising cookies are used, they serve to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. They are set only with your consent.
4. Cookies set by third parties
Some cookies are set by companies other than us. We do not control them and we invite you to read their own policies: Shopify (platform and payments), Judge.me (reviews), Google (advertising, analytics and merchant review widget), and the payment providers shown at checkout.
5. How to control cookies from your browser
Independently of the banner, every browser lets you block or delete cookies. The relevant settings are found under Preferences or Settings, in the Privacy section, in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the shopping basket and the checkout from working.
6. Retention
Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser. Persistent cookies remain for the period stated in the cookie preferences panel and in any case for no longer than is necessary for the purpose for which they were set.
7. Your rights and contact
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to info@gioyel.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
